The Seattle Times and Seattle P-I outdoors reporters make note of the Tulalip Tribes bubble fishery, which opens tomorrow, observing that tribal fishermen already have caught sizable chinook.
The Tulalip bubble chinook fishery opens Friday, and early indications are good.
“I’ve heard the [Tulalip] tribes have netted some chinook already,” said Gary Krein, owner of All-Star Charters in Everett.
The earlier-timed hatchery chinook run at the bubble fishery has been occurring for several years, and these fish tend to be more willing biters when it first opens.
