The Swinomish Earth Enhancement Celebration will be held this Sunday, April 25, instead of Saturday.
The event takes place from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Swinomish Community Center, 17275 Reservation Road, La Conner. The date was moved because of the death of an elder.
Volunteer projects include invasive weed removal, fishing net removal and beach cleanup. A traditional salmon lunch will be served after the work party.
Skagit Transit will provide free rides to and from the Swinomish reservation. For bus routes, visit the Skagit Valley Herald site.
