He is a highly respected leader for the tribes. In addition, he is a leader who brings many parties together to solve difficult, important problems. His leadership on the need to protect and thoughtfully manage our salmon and steelhead resources has benefited our most precious resources.” In accepting the award Allen said, “Receiving an award from Dan Evans is an honor I will always cherish for the rest of my life. Dan is considered a hero and model for outstanding public service by the tribes and all the citizens of Washington State.”
