Jeanette Dorner, salmon recovery manager for the Nisqually Indian Tribe, recently gave a presentation on the status of salmon recovery in the Nisqually Watershed.
You can listen and watch Jeanette’s presentation below. The most startling fact in the presentation for me was the one relating to the amount of the mainstem that is now in protected status. In 1989, only 3 percent of the maintstem Nisqually was in protected status, and today its today 73 percent.
