Rules of participation

Northwest Treaty Tribes advocates for treaty Indian tribes and shares information about tribal and state co-management of natural resources with the state of Washington.

We reserve the right to remove comments that violate our rules for participation.

Sometimes this can seem subjective, but we do not consider it productive to the conversation to post comments that are overly argumentative or attempt to discredit the accuracy of our posts.

Be nice

No name-calling. Have respect for others with differing views. Profanity and racism will not be tolerated.

No personal attacks or threats

If content crosses the legal line, it will be forwarded to the proper authorities.

Stay on topic

Don’t use a post about a particular topic as a platform to talk about something else.

Limits on posting

Don’t post so often that you monopolize the thread. Whether this is happening is subject to our discretion, so use your best judgment.


You may receive informal or official warnings if you violate these rules. Posts may be edited or deleted.
